I ordered two of these folding rockers. They came in a box, inside a carrying bag, inside a secure plastic bag. Very well packaged. There was foam sheet padding between some lower metal parts and completely encasing the folded rocker parts secured with wide clear packing tape, which peeled off easily. I am only 5' tall and it was a little hard to lift the chair out of the box so I laid it on the floor to slide it out. Removed the plastic wrap, then slid the bungee closure to loosen the closure cord at the top of the blue bag. Wrestled the chair out of its carrying case. There was a slick sheet of assembly instructions inside the bag but I didn't notice it until later. I had watched a product video which showed how to gently spread apart the chair, angle the legs over the rocker arms, snap them on while finishing spreading open the seat. Highly recommend watching this assembly video on the chair description in Amazon. I fully opened both chairs to make sure they worked ok, even though I didn't need to use the chairs right then. These are WIDE chairs! I have a 44" hip and there was tons of room for me. It is a comfortable chair and rocks fine. I folded the chairs back up by holding down one rocker arm at a time with my foot then lifting up to disengage the rubbery tension clamp on the bottom of the leg which holds the rocker arm. Both chairs folded up fine. The picnic was rained out so I will put each chair back into its carrying case, cinch up the top to close and store until needed. These chairs have some weight to them but were manageable for a retiree and very portable. I fit both folded chairs on the back seat of my Subaru Forester. The chair has a nice wide armrest and a cup holder built in. I found the chair to be comfortable and much better than my little aluminum web strap chairs. Which I've had since 1970 so are vintage pieces to be fought over after I die.
This rocking chair is nice and not too bulky..
I had no problem setting it up. It’s exactly like the other folding camp chairs we have, but with rockers instead of feet.It is a larger/heavier unit than most, and I admit I had a little trouble getting it out of the packaging & carry bag (because I’m 5’4” tall). BUTI do not plan on taking it hiking or to sporting events. It’ll go camping with us & ride in the underbelly of my trailer just fine.I’m enjoying the rocker as I write this & Id recommend! Looking forward to taking it camping!
I had been looking for a rocker style fold-up chair for a while but they are so pricey. I also didn’t like how heavy some of the rocker folding chairs are or the fact that they do not fold up into a carrier bag but instead just fold up in half and have to be carried in a bulky fashion. When I found this one I was very excited because it actually folds up into a carrier bag, isn’t quite as heavy as some of the others, and the price was very good compared to some of the other rocker chairs. So far I love everything about the chair except for trying to rock on small pepple gravel style rocks. This rocker chair isn’t even thinking about rocking on that. I still gave this 5 stars because I just think this is going to happen with this style so it isn’t anything to be considered a problem I suppose. It just wasn’t something I was expecting. So far I would definitely buy this chair again!
I was hesitant at first and bought another chair but I said to myself let me look at it first and sit in it. So glad I did because I love this chair. Just the right height and so comfortable! It was a little confusing how to open it but I eventually got it and I'm sure once I do it over and over again it will get simple! Will be keeping this one!
